SmartWatt’s President and CEO Chris Covell Named To High Tech Advisory Council

The Next Wave Center is coming to Saratoga County New York and SmartWatt’s founder Chris Covell was recently named a member of the Next Wave Advisory Council that is overseeing its launch.

The Next Wave Center is the creation of the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, the county’s economic development arm, and will bring more technology-based jobs to the area, boosting local economy. The Center will house an incubator for semiconductor suppliers doing work at Global Foundries’ Fab 8 computer chip factory in Saratoga County.

Covell said he is honored to be part of a panel of bright minds doing cutting edge work in their respective industries. SmartWatt partners with public entities to enhance their infrastructure, be more sustainable and enhance their communities, and Covell said being named to this board helps this mission..

“It’s exciting to be part of growing economic development in the region and apply the SmartWatt principles to the work this council is doing,” Covell said. “SmartWatt’s work is innovating our industry and this is a great opportunity to learn about other high tech products and businesses and how we can best grow together.”
